Concrete Saskatchewan provides Producer, Associate, and Affiliate Members with the opportunity to come together and interact. They continue to promote the use of high-quality concrete and continually strive to improve all aspects of the Concrete Industry — specifically within Saskatchewan, Canada. They were interested in producing a video that would showcase a day in the life of a Saskatchewan concrete worker. Together, we created a video that highlighted various job sites within the concrete industry and gave a perspective of what concrete workers might encounter during their day-to-day. A challenge we overcame was scheduling job sites while trying to coordinate the cold/rainy fall conditions as well as the Saskatchewan wind. These environmental conditions all played a factor in whether or not the concrete pour needed to be rescheduled and whether or not the drone would be able to take off. With mother nature being out of our hands we were still able to schedule some last-minute concrete pours to get the shots we needed to create this video. Whether that meant 3-hour commutes, 6AM departures, or shooting in freezing temperatures we were able to accomplish and capture some amazing shots of the concrete life. This was an exciting project as it allowed me to experience the concrete world. An industry that I never thought I would get to experience. With that, I was able to connect and meet new businesses across Saskatchewan and got to see firsthand the hard work they do every day.
